Announcement: Medfac UK Ltd Acquires John Florence Ltd
Medfac UK Ltd is delighted to announce the acquisition of John Florence Ltd, specialised
paediatric and young adult orthotic supply and manufacturing company. The acquisition
further enhances Medfac UK Ltd’s commitment to the supply of orthotic products and
services.

John Florence Limited is renowned for the manufacture of high quality, innovative
orthoses supported by exceptional service. It is based at a purpose-built centre in Lewes,
Sussex where there is a team of experienced orthotists, technicians and administrative
staff.
​
Commenting, Bob Donaldson, CEO of the Medfac Group, said “We are very excited to
acquire John Florence Ltd. It has a fantastic reputation in children’s orthotic services and
we will build on the quality, innovation and specialism of the John Florence Ltd business. It

The Medfac Group has facilities in the USA, France, Belgium and the UK
and it distributes to over 65 countries worldwide.

All customers should continue to interact with the John Florence team as before, but
under the trading details of Medfac UK Ltd. (These are available separately). The
acquisition of John Florence Ltd was completed on Friday 13th December 2024.

John Florence Ltd featured in NHS75: Celebrating 75 Years of the National Health Service

A book celebrating 75 years of the NHS was launched at Westminster.
We are proud to announce that John Florence Ltd was invited to be featured as an orthotic treatment services provider in the Medical and Health Innovation section as a key NHS supplier in a publication celebrating 75 years of the NHS.
The History of Parliament Trust – one of the most ambitious and authoritative academic projects in British history – is delighted to be unveiling a new publication entitled NHS 75: Celebrating 75 Years of the National Health Service at the Palace of Westminster on 6 September 2023.
This beautifully presented hardback book has been written by a team of academics and industry experts. Exploring the origins, history, and impact of the NHS, the fully illustrated publication marks the 75th anniversary of the service, and the people and policies that have shaped it.
